Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:10PM A friend at church who we used to ride with started back to school a year ago and had to sell his bike to help pay for his schooling. Well not long ago his car broke down beyond repair and he was having to rely on friends and family to help him get around. Pastor mentioned that he would like to get either a bike or car for him, something super cheap that we could rebuild and give to him so he would be able to get around town by himself. Just so happened that Jeff, one of the guys that was with us when pastor mentioned it, said he had just been given a bike, a early 80's Honda CB600, and that we could work on it to get it running and then give it to Matt. It took a while to get in running order. The church didn't have the money to send it to a shop to be rebuilt so Jeff, Mark and Randy worked on it when they could and found parts and modded others to fit on the bike. It's truly one of a kind. I wasn't able to do much having just had wrist surgery when they started working on it, but I was able to take pictures of the build process. Here's the story in pictures. These guys did an amazing job working on it, hats off to Jeff, Mark and Randy for their time and effort in putting this bike together.
